Since 2010, the Gaidar Forum has been organized annually in memory of the outstanding economist Yegor Gaidar. On January 12 – 14, the eighth Gaidar forum was held. It brought together leading world scientists, politicians and representatives of business community in order to discuss the most acute problems and find the effective ways to solve them.

In the Russian mass media, the Gaidar forum is called “Russian Davos Forum”. For foreign participants, the Gaidar Forum is an important source of information on the main trends of Russian socio-economic and political development, business environment and barometer of the investment climate. For domestic experts, participation in the event allows to determine the prospects for further economic growth and integration of Russia into the world economy.

The Forum moderators are representatives of federal and regional authorities, leading domestic and foreign economists, as well as business leaders. A distinctive feature of the event is the active involvement of students and young scientists as participants in the Gaidar Forum work. The last day of the Forum is traditionally devoted to youth performances.
