Butenko Yana Andreevna has been working permanently full-time as an Associate Professor of Department of Management Theory and Business Technologies over at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics from January 2013 to February 2017. During the period of work, she has carried out the following activities:

  1. Educational activity
  • Delivering lectures and seminars on “Management” and “Organisation of business” to undergraduates, as well as “Effective management technologies”, “Management systems modelling”, and “Corporate business” to postgraduates.
  • Supervising and consulting undergraduate and postgraduate students about term papers and degree’s theses.
  • Engaging in the work of the Academic Board.
  • Implementing innovative teaching technologies into the educational process.
  1. Methodical activity
  • Developing lectures, seminars, and assessment tools for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Developing guidelines on writing reports and degree’s theses for postgraduates, as well as guidelines on preparation for entrance examinations of postgraduate programs.
  • Publishing 10 study works on business management systems modelling in Russian and English.
  1. Scholarly activity
  • Conducting research both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Preparing research proposals and participating in 4 granted research projects, including grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
  • Publishing the research results in leading Russian peer-reviewed journals (during the period of work it has been published 6 articles).
  • Publishing the monographs in the fields of Management and Economics (during the period of work it has been published 4 monographs).
  • Participating in the International and Russian scientific and practical conferences (during the period of work she has participated in 5 conferences).
  • Supervising the student research projects.
  1. Administrative activity
  • Running and developing a new Master’s Degree Program “Business Management”, as well as coordinating its educational process.
  • Organising 3 conferences and 3 workshops in the fields of Management and Economics.
  • Participating in the work of the University’s analytical group, which has been analysing the trends and prospect of development in the Russian and foreign educational systems and allowing to develop the new directions in educational and scientific activities of the University.
  • Leading the activity of the University’s Enactus team realising the entrepreneurial projects within the framework of the International program “Enactus”, including supervising the student projects prepared for competitions, which were organised by the largest international companies, such as “Ernst&Young”, “KPMG”, “PepsiCo”, “Coca-Cola Hellenic” and others.

During her work at the University, she has proved to be a highly skilled and responsible expert, which is held in high esteem by her colleagues. Diligence and tremendous capacity for work have become her hallmarks. In addition, Yana Andreevna has constantly improved her skills, demonstrated the desire for self-development and learning best practices.

The International program “Enactus” (formerly known as “SIFE”) has developed since 1975 and now widely spread across the globe. Enactus brings together more than 72,000 students from over 1,700 Universities, academic and business leaders from 36 countries, who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial actions to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

In 2015, I was awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the Russian President of the International program “Enactus” S. Ravichev for active participation and organisation of competitions.


From 30th to 31st October 2014, the workshop on the University academic activity modernisation and its development mechanisms specification passed at the Sunny Glade (Zvenigorod, Russia).

During the event, it was found the ways to increase the University scientific potential; developed the regulations and instruments for innovative concept implementation; corroborated the organisation of educational and scientific centre as strategic module in the University academic activity; updated indicators of organisation departments’ rating system.

By the results of workshop, I was awarded a  Certificate of Participation.

April 15 – 16, 2014, I studied on the Business modelling and enterprise architecture training from QPR Software Plc (Moscow, Russia). Within the training, it has been introduced a new line of multilingual software “QPR Suite 2014”, which allows to model an enterprise architecture, describe the business processes, build a company’s evaluation system according to KPI (Key Performance Indicators), and optimise the company activity by means of business modelling.

Riina Luoso told in details about two software products: QPR Metrics and QPR Process Designer. In addition, training’s participants had opportunity to practice in using of the QPR business solutions’ high functionality: QPR Metrics and QPR Process Designer.

By the results of the training, I was awarded a Certificate of Attendance.

From October 21, 2013 to November 2, 2013, I studied on the Innovative educational technologies course at the Sochi State University (Sochi, Russia). Within the course, it has been discussed the world experience of educational activities with application of the latest educational technologies. There was an exchange of experience between the representatives of business community and leading universities of Sochi, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Magnitogorsk, Izhevsk, Omsk, Ulyanovsk and other Russian cities. Besides, the system of pedagogical technologies promoting the quality of Russian education has been developed.

By the course results, I was awarded a Certificate of Attainment.
