From September 2006 till January 2011, I studied in the postgraduate course of the Ural State University of Economics (Yekaterinburg, Russia). Generally, I have been engaging in scientific activity since 2005. In 2006, I began to conduct the dissertation research devoted to developing the adjustment mechanism of the regional policy of asymmetrically developing region. The dissertation’s scientific novelty consisted in creation of the author’s methodology for assessing territorial asymmetry; revealing of economical and institutional asymmetry, as well as social and economic asymmetry of territories’ development; updating of the regional policy of asymmetrically developing region on the basis of the author’s mechanism of smoothing the unevenness in the territories’ developing.

The results of research have been used and approved by Omsk Regional Government, Omsk Regional Ministry of Economics, Omsk State Technical University, Omsk Branch of the All-Russian State Distance-Learning Institute of Finance and Economics, Omsk Regional Institute. Moreover, the theoretical positions and practical conclusions of dissertation have been discussed and have received a positive feedback at International and Russian Conferences.

In June 2010, I defended my PhD thesis. In January 2011, on the recommendation of the Academic Council of the Ural State University of Economics and by the authority of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, I was admitted to a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics.
